About SUPARCO
The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, known as SUPARCO, is Pakistan’s national space agency. Established in 1961 and headquartered in Islamabad, SUPARCO plays a vital role in the country’s development through its space science programs and peaceful missile manufacturing.
With technical facilities across Pakistan in cities like Peshawar, Multan, Gilgit, Lahore, Karachi, and Quetta, SUPARCO provides critical products and services. These include satellite remote sensing for agriculture, forestry, urban planning, and coastal resources. SUPARCO also offers short training courses on environment, geography, climate change, and artificial intelligence. They provide main training programs as well, including apprenticeships and skills development.
As an organization owned and operated by the Government of Pakistan, SUPARCO currently functions under Major General Amir Nadeem (CoEME).
